Food and Nutrition at School (FANS) provides breakfast and snacks to children in more than 160 schools in Calgary, helping to offset hunger's negative effects on learning and emotional health.
Studies have shown that proper nutrition is crucial to the healthy development of children and youth. By providing basic nutritious food at school, our FANS program helps kids perform better in school increases the chances that kids will have positive relationships with others

FANS also partners with the Calgary Board of Education to run the Fuel for School program which is a staff organized breakfast program established in 18 of the highest need schools.
