Hera is a specialized year round education program with supports for adolescent girls who are at risk of being sexually exploited. The program embraces a therapeutic, relationship-focused approach to help these girls develop skills, commit to their education, re-examine their lives and move forward in a positive direction. What does Hera provide?
Who can attend Hera?
Hera looks to engage community volunteers for programming and mentoring opportunities. Share your special talents with youth and help them to develop theirs! The Hera program is looking for volunteers to build relationships and support at-risk young women in our program through fun, interactive activities such as dance, cooking, baking, sewing, sports, art projects or any other talents/skills that you can share. Volunteers should be able to come in at least once every two weeks for two hours between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
