Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary (BGCC) continues to offer Indigenous-specific programming for First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) children, youth and families. Our commitment is rooted in our core values of Inclusion & Opportunity, Respect & Belonging, Empowerment, Collaboration, Speaking Out and knowledge of the growing population of FNMI families moving into urban centers.
We realize the importance of offering unique programming to the FNMI community and have focused on strengthening and expanding our services over the past two years. BGCC Indigenous programs, in collaboration with other agencies provide hands-on cultural experiences, elder involvement, health and wellness activities, traditional arts programs and youth mentorship.
Our Indigenous Services team delivers the following programs:
Our trained staff work with youth to reduce barriers to participation and strive to offer programs that encourage the well-being of generations to come!
Indigenous Services has responded to the need for programs specific to the FNMI community and has recently opened a new program space called “The Lodge”.
