The programs at Avenue 15 Youth Shelter offer youth in Calgary a better opportunity to leave homelessness and street life behind forever.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary has offered emergency shelter services at Avenue 15 for more than 20 years. Over time we have adapted our services to better meet the changing need of Calgary youth.

Because no one factor places youth at risk of becoming homeless, and no predictable circumstances that inevitably lead to youth living on the streets, we believe it is necessary to offer a menu of services meeting a broad spectrum of needs so that each individual youth can get what they need to leave street life permanently. Our service menu increases the likelihood that youth will acquire the skills and capacity for stable living while accessing shelter.
